Rescind third reading, amend at second reading, third reading as amended of a bylaw to regulate the use of sanitary sewers and storm sewers in the City of Langley and to establish terms and conditions under which the services may be given

Recommendation:

THAT third reading of the bylaw cited as "Sanitary Sewer and Storm Sewer Regulation Bylaw, No. 3210" be rescinded.

Recommendation:

THAT "Sanitary Sewer and Storm Sewer Regulation Bylaw, No. 3210" be amended by:

1. Replacing Section 6.19.1.1 which reads as follows:

"6.19.1.1 For car washing at residential dwellings, Wash Water shall be directed away from stormwater drains to a landscaped, grass or gravel area and must remain on the property until it evaporates or infiltrates into ground."

with

"6.19.1.1 For car washing at residential dwellings, Wash Water should preferably be directed away from stormwater drains to a landscaped, grass or gravel area and should remain on the property until it evaporates or infiltrates into ground."

2. By replacing the following clause which reads as follows:

"6.19.1.3 Pool Water shall be discharged into Sanitary Sewer System."

with:

"6.19.1.4 Pool Water shall be discharged into Sanitary Sewer System."

Recommendation:

THAT the bylaw cited as "Sanitary Sewer and Storm Sewer Regulation Bylaw, No. 3210" be read a third time as amended.

Rescind third reading, amend at second reading, third reading as amended of a bylaw to amend fees in the Municipal Ticket Information System bylaw related to sanitary sewer and storm sewer regulations

Recommendation:

THAT third reading of the bylaw cited as "Municipal Ticket Information System Bylaw, 2011, No. 2846, Amendment No. 19, 2023, No. 3212" be rescinded.

Recommendation:

THAT "Municipal Ticket Information System Bylaw, 2011, No. 2846, Amendment No. 19, 2023, No. 3212" be amended by:

1. Replacing the Offence in Column 1 of Schedule B26 that reads as follows:

"Discharging Pool Water or Wash Water to Storm Sewer, Street, Neighbouring Property or a Watercourse".

with

"Discharging Pool Water or Wash Water to Storm Sewer, Street, or a Watercourse".

2. Replacing the associated Section Reference in Column 2 which reads "6.19" with "6.19.1.3 & 6.19.1.4".

Recommendation:

THAT "Municipal Ticket Information System Bylaw, 2011, No. 2846, Amendment No. 19, 2023, No. 3212" be read a third time as amended.
