RECOMMENDATION:

Bylaw 3258 - Highway and Traffic Regulation Bylaw Amendment

Final reading of a bylaw to include wording to restrict parking on any highway not designated as a Heavy Truck Route.

RECOMMENDATION:

THAT the bylaw cited as "Highway and Traffic  Regulation Bylaw, 2013, No. 2871, Amendment No. 7, 2023, No. 3258" be read a final time.

Community Emergency Preparedness Fund Grant Application Volunteer and Composite Fire Departments Equipment and Training

RECOMMENDATION:

THAT City Council support the application by the Langley City Fire Rescue Service on behalf of the City of Langley for a $25,927.80 grant from the UBCM Community Emergency Preparedness Fund for education and training in Community Risk Reduction.

7.b

Contract Award – Tender ITT2023-032 – Building Demolitions, Multiple Locations

RECOMMENDATION:

1. THAT Tender ITT2023-032 – Building Demolitions, Multiple Locations be awarded to RDM Enterprises Ltd. for the tendered amount of $555,597.55 (excluding taxes), and
2. THAT a contingency allowance of $55,000 be approved, only to be used for unforeseen issues, and
3. THAT the Acting Director of Engineering, Parks and Environment and the Corporate Officer be authorized to execute the contract document for ITT2023-032 Building Demolitions Multiple Locations to RDM Enterprises Ltd.
