RECOMMENDATION:


THAT the September 8, 2025 regular agenda be adopted as circulated.

Before the motion is made to approve the Consent Agenda, a Council member may request that an item be removed from the Consent Agenda and dealt with separately; additionally, a Council member may request that one or more items on the Regular Council Agenda be included on the Consent Agenda, and if no one objects, it will be so listed and considered.

Report: Chief Administrative Officer dated August 28, 2025

RECOMMENDATION:

  1. THAT City Council approve Mayor Nathan Pachal, Councillor Paul Albrecht, Councillor Rosemary Wallace, Councillor Leith White, and Francis Cheung to travel to Ottawa for up to four days in October 2025, as a delegation to meet with Members of Parliament to lobby and advance Langley City’s positions with respect to housing, infrastructure, transportation, culture, immigration, and refugee issues.
  2. THAT the travel expenses for the trip to Ottawa under Recommendation No. 1 be allocated from the Enterprise Fund.

Report: Planning Assistant II dated August 29, 2025

RECOMMENDATION:

THAT Council receive the Housing Target Progress Report for the period of August 1, 2024 to July 31, 2025.

Report: Senior Project Engineer dated September 8, 2025

RECOMMENDATION:

  1. THAT "T2025-008, 2025 Road Rehabilitation – Various Locations" be awarded to GB Paving LTD. for the tendered amount of $508,533.00 (excluding GST);
  2. THAT a contingency allowance of $51,000.00 be approved, to be used only for unforeseen issues; and
  3. THAT the Director of Engineering, Parks and Environment and the Corporate Officer be authorized to execute the contract document for "T2025-008, 2025 Road Rehabilitation – Various Locations" Tender.

RECOMMENDATION:


THAT the Deputy Mayor rotation be amended as follows:
